Runa joined VTCT in 1992 as an EQA, while working in further education as a Head of Department and then Quality Director. Runa led on the national development of qualifications for Beauty Therapy in Scotland, Botswana and India and was HMIe Associate Assessor for nine years. In 2010, Runa moved to VTCT full-time.

Runa has a B.A. Honours in Professional and Vocational Education and qualifications with industry experience in Hairdressing, Beauty Therapy, Sports Therapy and Complementary Therapies.

Runa’s knowledge of UK and International education helps her to provide expert advice to her international centres. She believes that good business starts with valuing people and developing supportive relationships.

Runa and her family moved from England to Scotland 20 years ago and in her spare time, Runa loves the Scottish mountains and has climbed all the Munros.
