Niall Rafferty has been involved in the Sports & Fitness industry for over 30 years, His ever evolving career included lifeguarding, coaching, leisure management, clinical work and teaching, whilst he has always held a passion for high standards.
Niall holds an MSc, BSc in Sports & Exercise management and Diploma’s in Physical Therapy, S & C as well as Education and Training.
Niall first joined iTEC in 1997 as a Sports Examiner and has since held many roles including External Quality Assurer, International Business Manager and Assessment lead for Sports. This has led him to work throughout the world examining standards and maintaining iTEC’s name within industry.
Niall’s inclusive and collaborative approach has helped many schools and teachers maintain high standards especially in the Fitness and Therapy world that is fit for purpose in an ever changing industry.
Niall’s dedication and passion has seen him serve on a number of membership boards and committee’s that has been influential in steering government policies in areas of health and wellbeing.
Outside of his professional life, he still competes at water polo and sea swimming and loves pushing limits.
