Centre Guide
Copies of all regulations can be requested from the ITEC office by email.
Booking Examinations
All centres must forward a completed Examination Booking Form to the ITEC office at least 12 weeks before the required examination date. The form can be forwarded up to a year in advance if preferred. The form should state 3 alternative dates for the practical examinations, together with the first theory exam date (this must be within one month of the practical date). Theory examinations are held at the college and are invigilated by an independent person appointed by the centre. ITEC forwards examination papers in advance and will arrange for an ITEC Examiner to conduct the practical examinations.
Enrolment Forms
Completed Enrolment Forms (one per award) must be sent a minimum of 8 weeks prior to the first examination date. Any evidence relating to the Accreditation of Prior Learning must be forwarded with enrolment forms. ITEC should also be informed of any candidates with additional needs at the time of enrolment. Please refer to ITEC Procedure for Accrediting Candidates Prior Learning (APL) for details.

Payment
All invoices relating to an examination booking should be paid prior to the examination date. ITEC reserves the right to postpone examinations if payment is not received 6 weeks before the booking.
Examination Forms
ITEC will send the 5P Practical Examination forms listing all candidates enrolled with the examination invoice. The form should be available for the ITEC Examiner's use on the practical examination date. Any withdrawals/absences should be noted by the centre. Pre-assessment forms must be completed by the relevant lecturer(s) for all candidates completing practical examinations. These forms should also be available to the ITEC Examiner. Multiple choice question examination papers will be sent by ITEC in advance of the first theory examination date, together with the 5T Theory Examination Form. This form should be completed by the invigilator, including any absences, and then returned with completed papers immediately following the examination. Please note; ITEC will only refund examination fees where reasons for candidate absence have been stated on the necessary forms and are acceptable according to the criteria stated within the Regulations and Procedures document.
Case Studies
The case studies form the internal assessment of the majority of ITEC qualifications (with the exception of the Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology) and must be assessed by the ITEC lecturer. The Examiner will verify the case studies on the day of the practical examinations. Case studies required for the Diploma in Diet & Nutrition for Complementary Therapists should be forwarded with completed examination papers to the ITEC office (photocopies only).
Any case studies that do not meet the required standard will be referred by the Examiner and a case study referral report will be issued, detailing the requirements for the candidate to achieve a pass grade. Re-submitted case studies should be forwarded to the ITEC office directly to be marked. These case studies are non-returnable and candidates should therefore ensure that they retain their original work and submit photocopies only.
Results
ITEC will forward examination results, diplomas and badges to the centre within 35 working days from receipt of the completed examination papers. Each centre is provided with a summary results sheet (listing all candidates) in addition to individual results sheets per candidate. An 'ITEC Qualified' badge will be provided for each successful candidate on the achievement of his/her first diploma.
